'Tanner' resemblance

I've now been told for about the 30th time that Faith bears a striking resemblance to the Olsen twins. Just the other day on a walk, a woman stopped me and goes "oh my gosh, with that ponytail she looks just like the Olsen girls in the opening credits of 'Full House,' do you remember that show?" Haha. I laughed. A few people actually used to tell me the same thing about Maddie when she was around Faith's age, so it's kind of funny to know that they're compared to the same people.

Not only is the Beebster resembling a 'Tanner' but she's also quite tanner. She looks so cute with her tan lines this summer! I don't know though if it's because of all the sun or what, but she's got white splotches all up and down her legs. Only on her legs though. I called the doctor and they said not to really worry about it, that it could just be a pigmentation deal that just seems more apparent because now that her skin is darker than normal.

Disgusting Beebster moment

'Disgusting' and yet still baby book material!

The littlest woman is notorious in our family to poop in the bathtub every once in a while. Because of this I usually wait a few minutes after dinner before I put them in the tub since she has a knack for an after-dinner poop.

Anyway, yesterday was bath night. Maddie always strips down after dinner and runs to the tub, and then Faith is all excited to go running after her. I take off her diaper and always scream "small pompas" (and Maddie would be "medium pompas" (or 'pomps' for short haha)) and Faith starts laughing and running in her true cartoon- character style. They looked extra cute yesterday because they were standing there testing the water with their hands and you could see their white butts and super tan lines. I got the camera to take some classic butt shots. On the 3rd photo I was about to say  to myself (but out loud) 'hey, what's that brown wart on your butt, Beebster?' when I realized she was pooping. She pooped on the bath mat! Best part was, I inadvertently got a picture of it. I showed Dan today and we both laughed so much, and yet felt slightly nauseous. Haha. Poor Faith screeched because I screeched and Maddie screeched at the sight of poop on our bath mat.

The best part though.. I actually didn't mind cleaning and disinfecting a bath mat instead of the bathtub. Crazy how pooping on a bath mat can actually be a blessing. Classic Beebster!

"Bah"

Beebster started saying 'bye' yesterday!!!

When we were leaving Nene and Gampa's house and they were out saying goodbye to Maddie and Faith, Faith started waving and saying "BAH, BAH, BAH." It's so cute! It sounds like a valley girl's version of 'bye' or a very southern accent saying 'bye!' Another word to jot down in her baby book! She kept saying it to Dan today when he left for work too.

The littlest woman loves any opportunity to come sit on either one of our laps in the bedroom and look at pictures of her cousins, her sis, or her Daddy. It's so funny! She LOVES, LOVES, LOVES her cousins. She's always loved pal Donovan and you can tell she idolizes him just like when she's with her Crannie. I remember how much Donovan loved Faith when she was little, and apparently the bond has held strong. Which is very telling of the relationship Faith will have with her baby girl cousin because she just adores miss Ella. She loves to come tickle her ('guata guata guata') and is actually very gentle with her. She loves to pat her head, her toes, anything really that I'll let her touch! And, yesterday we went over to see Tyler who is now 2 months old. Even though Beebster was in a bit of a funk from getting up earlier than usual, she still adores her baby boy cousin. She's been wanting to sit in my lap and look at pictures of him and the three of them together. She tickled him too and patted him on the head. It's hard to come to grips with the fact that my baby is the BIG cousin to two little cousins. It'll be so neat to see both her and Maddie with their cousins all together as they grow.

20 months old

Where in the world does the time go?

My littlest woman is 20 months old today. I refuse to think about the fact that she'll be 2 in only 4 months, and focus on the fact that she's only 1 today. I get very sentimental thinking that they both keep getting older, but I suppose that's the way it goes. I definitely love all the new experiences though each and every day, and wouldn't trade it for the world. I suppose it just gives me that much more reason and validation to taking pictures and videos constantly; I can't bottle them up this little forever, so I'll settle for cementing moments in time through photographs.

Miss Beebster is on a kick these days where she likes to throw things in the trashcan. She loves to get wipes and 'clean' when I allow her. And, then she runs as fast as she can to the trashcan to throw it away. Not to mention she also throws away other things like hair ties, etc.

Yesterday I put on 10 minutes of "Finding Nemo" to see what she thought. I can't get over the fact that Faith's already at the age that Maddie was when we moved in to these apartments. I remember letting Maddie watch bits and pieces of 'Nemo' because we didn't have our box of DVD's yet from storage, and I had borrowed the movie from Uncle Schnoogo. That started the cascade effect of infatuation with Disney's from Maddie, and I'm hoping that Faith will love them just the same. She really liked the little bit of 'Nemo' that I showed her and laughed and waved to Crush and the little turtles. Other than that, her favorites are still 'Mickey Mouse Clubhouse' and 'Backyardigans.' Although there is a 3-minute segment that comes on right after 'Mickey Mouse Clubhouse' in the mornings. It's called 'Happy Monster Band.' She LOVES, LOVES, LOVES these little monsters! She starts screaming like a teenage girl when she sees them and starts to wave.

The little woman has had no time-out's this week; I am very proud to report this. The 20-month old is still the apple of big sis' eye, the number 1 fan of her daddy-o, and forever my little Beebster.

Dollies

Beebster rotates on and off between being extremely nurturing to her dollies, and holding them upside down by their hair!

She's been so cute lately playing with Maddie and their dolls. She has always watched everything Maddie does very closely since a very young age, and she imitates her all the time with how she cares for her 'babies.' Sometimes Faith will slip away while they're playing, and I find her in Maddie's room tucking her baby in to Maddie's bed and putting a blanket all balled up on top of the doll. It's so darn cute the way she does it. She never actually gives 'kisses,' but rather makes the noise and then blows them to you or to whoever it may be including the dolls. There are other times where I find Faith in the living room with the bin of fake food all scattered on the floor, and she's sitting there trying to put fake donuts and fake celery in her doll's mouth. It's too cute.
